More than 50 years ago on this day, one of the greatest technological advancements known to man was discovered after a bathroom accident. Rumor has it that this eclectic entrepreneur was involved in insurance fraud to pay for his invention, but it was never proven.

What was this invention and for extra credit who was the entrepreneur?

On November 5th, 1955 Dr Emmet Lathrop Brown invented the Flux Capacitor. Later, Marty McFly used it to go Back to the Future.
